How often do you play?
Our seasons usually take place about every 3-4 months, and last for 4 weeks. When the season is not officially on, you can often find members organising pick-up games and playing other sports via the facebook group!
CAN ANYONE JOIN LAFABL?
Women (trans and cis inclusive) and genderqueer people are welcome to bball! For cis-men, not on the court; yet we welcome you to participate in other ways, such as through volunteering to be photographers, scorekeepers, snack parents, or cheerleaders!
The league is 16+. For players under 18, a parent's written permission is required to join the league as either a member or free agent.

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IN THE LEAGUE?
Every season, we have spots for 40 members total, and many more free agents and volunteers. You'll want to register early to make sure you get in, as we do tend to fill-up every season.
When and where are your games?
We will be holding Season XI at Glassell Recreation Center in Northeast Los Angeles. Games take place 12-1:30pm on the following Sundays in June 2019: 6/2, 6/9, 6/16, 6/23
MEMBER vs. FREE AGENT?
Members are assigned to a team (you get to pick one buddy in advance, if you like) and play on that team for the whole season. For only $22, the perks are almost endless! Trophies (for winners), prizes (for everyone), team sashes, and trading cards are all included.
Free agents are not assigned to a set team but, rather, fill in as needed. In a sense, they are "substitutes" and are welcome to play up to twice a season. Just bring your $5 in cash to a game!
HOW DOES ONE SIGN-UP?
Just click right here when a season is approaching and choose the form that is right for you!
I REALIZED I CAN'T PLAY ANYMORE, IS MY MEMBERSHIP FEE REFUNDABLE?
The sooner you let us know, the better! Our budget relies on the membership dues of 40 players, so we are unable to reimburse you once the season has begun. If you let us know before the season starts, we will do our best to find a replacement to take your membership and refund you.
WHEN DID LAFABL BEGIN?
It all started in the summer of 2014. For more about our story, check out this super fun video Pride.com made about us.
ARE THERE BASKETBALL LEAGUES LIKE THIS ANYWHERE ELSE?
For London ballers, check out our (actual sister's) sister league, SLAW.
DO Y'ALL RUN ANY OTHER SPORTS LEAGUES?
Members of LAFABL often get together to jog (DRIBBL), play tennis (softserve), and sometimes even to play flag football (FALAFL)! To hear about meet ups, join the LAFABL facebook group.
